Stone Temple Pilots Concert

Hanging out before the concert. Sorry, this picture was taken with a camera phone.

Last night, Jeana, Anthony, Don and I had tickets to the Stone Temple Pilots. We also met up with my friends Mike and Toni. I have been a Stone Temple Pilots fan it seems like forever. I was so bummed when they broke up a few years ago. As you can see, they got back together and went out on tour. I was so excited and couldn't wait to go to the concert. They are getting a little older so I was concerned about them not sounding great. I was completely wrong. It was awesome. They played all of the good songs and sounded like they did years ago when I saw them for the first time.

The concert was at the Hollywood Bowl. I have heard alot about the Hollywood Bowl but have never been there. It was great. The best thing about it is that they have a shuttle that picks us up at the Lakewood Mall and takes you there. $5 roundtrip. When we got there, I was shocked to see all the people picknicking. Here we were trying to hide our beer in a backpack and everybody else there was walking around with their beer bottles and wine bottles open tailgaiting in the area outside. I couldn't believe it. Next time, I will come a little more prepared.

Those of you going to see Neil Diamond in September, we are going to have so much fun.

HAPPY SUMMER!!!

I know that it has been a long time since my last post. It has been hard with the website being blocked at work periodically. It seems that it is blocked always during my conference period and at lunch which are the only two times that I have time to update. Not to mention, my laptop is acting up. I will be better about updating over the summer.

I am so excited because today is the last day of school : ) In my 8 years of teaching, I have always worked summer school. Since this summer I am living at home, and the money is flowing (yeah right), I decided to take the whole summer off. I couldn't be more excited. Of course the smart thing to do would be to work the summer and save my money since that is why I moved back home. But, why would I do something stupid like that? This makes perfect sense, right? I do believe that the Kollen sisters are the ones who talked me out of working summer school while they were at Trevor's birthday. Thanks girls!! I couldn't be more happy.
I am sure that I will have plenty to post soon.
Off to Taco Surf to meet all the girls to kick off the summer!

HAPPY SUMMER!
